Secure sign-in
If you choose a displayed identity provider such as Google, that provider gives VerseKind a stable account identifier and basic profile information such as your name, verified email address, and profile image when available. If you use passwordless email sign-in, VerseKind sends a one-time link that expires after 15 minutes; the token is stored only as a cryptographic hash and cannot be reused. VerseKind never receives the password of an external sign-in provider.
Your preferences
VerseKind stores the Bible verse themes you select, your personal-email frequency, the time and source of your consent, and the date the last personal email was sent. These settings are used to select a verse for your dashboard and, only when explicitly enabled, your inbox.
Newsletter and email
Public newsletter subscriptions use double opt-in. If you subscribe from a verse page, that passage’s broad theme may be stored as your delivery preference so future emails better match what you chose to read. Account holders enable or disable personal email from their account page. Every public newsletter includes an unsubscribe link; account emails can be stopped in account preferences.
You can also choose a theme in the signup form; we store that choice to select your daily email. Changing an existing newsletter preference requires email confirmation. The change link expires after 24 hours.
Your personal Bible and local storage
Visitors without an account may add one passage to their personal Bible in the browser’s private local storage. When you sign in, those passage identifiers are connected to your VerseKind account so your Scripture collection can follow you across devices. VerseKind also uses local storage to remember when a newsletter invitation was dismissed.
Audience measurement and advertising
VerseKind records anonymous aggregate totals for visits, traffic sources, countries and key actions such as saving, sharing, subscribing and signing in. Saved passages and prayer themes are not sent to Google Analytics as person-level data. Depending on your region and consent choices, analytics and advertising partners may use cookies or technical identifiers.
Advertising cookies and choices
Where advertising is enabled and your regional consent choice permits it, Google and other disclosed advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve, measure, and limit ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies based on earlier visits to this or other websites. You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings and can change or withdraw consent through the site’s consent controls where available.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. VerseKind does not place ads on account, sign-in, personal Bible, search, error, newsletter-status, privacy, contact, or unreviewed reference pages.
Kind Analytics private app
Kind Analytics is a private mobile app for specifically authorized VerseKind team members. It shows only aggregate website totals, sources, countries, devices, pages and allowlisted actions; it does not expose visitor profiles, saved passages, prayer themes, WordPress credentials, Google Analytics credentials or site signing keys. A device is connected with a one-time code and receives a revocable access token. The device record is linked to the authorized WordPress account that created it. The server stores only a cryptographic hash of that access token, together with the account identifier, a device label, notification preferences and last-access time.
If an authorized user enables notifications, VerseKind stores that device’s Apple Push Notification service token in encrypted form and sends operational alerts such as unusual traffic, newsletter signups or new accounts through Apple. Lock-screen text is deliberately limited and contains no visitor-level information. Notification permission is optional and may be disabled in the app or iOS Settings; signing out revokes the device connection.
Service providers
VerseKind uses optional identity providers, Pinterest for sharing and discovery, and hosting, email, analytics and advertising infrastructure to operate and fund the website and deliver requested messages. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Retention, access, and deletion
Account and preference information is retained while your account is active. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion by emailing [email protected]. Requests are handled after identity verification.
